The Mathematics system in Singapore starts from primary school to senior high school, and finally reaches the A-level standard, which is recognized by universities in the United Kingdom, Europe and other Commonwealth countries. The current Canadian education system includes Canadian provincial syllabuses, International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement courses. IB is an international Baccalaureate (IB) program in 11th and 12th grades of high school. AP courses are advanced Placement courses that high school students in the United States and Canada can take in exchange for credit at the corresponding U.S. universities. The Singapore Institute of Mathematics International (SMIL) offers a-level courses that can fill the gap in North American education.
