THE 2021 NORTH AMERICAN YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS

Equestrian events were first included in the modern Olympic Games in 1900. By 1912, all three Olympic disciplines still seen today were part of the games. There are three Olympic Equestrian sports: dressage, three-day eventing and show jumping. Jumping, Dressage and Eventing have been a part of the Olympics since 1912. Para-Equestrian Dressage has been part of the Paralympic games since 1996. Jumping has been part of the Youth Olympic Games since its creation in Singapore in 2010.

The International Federation for Equestrian Sports (French: Fédération Équestre Internationale, FEI) is the international governing body of equestrian sports. The FEI headquarters are in Lausanne, Switzerland. FEI organized the FEI World Equestrian Games, FEI World Cup and various continental and regional championships.

FEI North American Youth Championships (NAYC), formerly known as the FEI North American Junior & Young Rider Championships, is the premiere equestrian competition in North America for junior and young riders, ages 14 – 21. Young equestrians vie for team and individual medals in the FEI disciplines of dressage, endurance, eventing, jumping, para-dressage and reining.

Lots of top universities in U.S.A offers equine scholarship programs, including 19 NCAA Division I NCAA colleges like Cornell and Brown.
